NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing
will be held by the City Council of Iowa City,
Iowa, at 7:00 p.m. on December 16, 2008, in
Harvat Hall, 410 E. Washington Street, Iowa
City, Iowa, or if said meeting is cancelled, at the
next meeting of the City Council thereafter as
posted by the City Clerk; at which hearing the
Council will consider:
1) A resolution for a voluntary annexation of
approximately 179 acres of property owned
by the Veronica Prybil Trust located
adjacent to 420`n Street and west of Taft
Avenue and' a voluntary annexation of the
Iowa Interstate Railroad right-of-way
between Industrial Park Road and Taft
Avenue (ANN08-00001 & ANN07-00001)
2) An ordinance rezoning approximately 179
acres of land located adjacent to 420`n
Street and west of Taft Avenue from County
Residential (R) to Interim Development
Industrial (ID-I) and rezoning the Iowa
Interstate Railroad Right-of-way between
Industrial Parking Road and Taft Avenue
from County Residential (R) to General
Industrial (I-1) (REZ08-00009 & REZ07-
00008)
Copies of the proposed resolutions and
ordinances are on file for public examination in
the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Iowa City,
Iowa. Persons wishing to make their views
known for Council consideration are encouraged
to appear at the above-mentioned time and
place.

Emma J. Harvat Hall, 410 E. Washington Street,
Iowa City, Iowa, or if said meeting is cancelled, at
the next meeting of the City Council thereafter as
posted by the City Clerk; at which hearing the
Council will consider:
An ordinance changing the zoning from
Interim Development Commercial Office
(ID-CO1) zone to Commercial Office (CO-
1)zone for 1.69 acres of property located
at the southeast corner of Camp Cardinal
Boulevard and Kennedy Parkway.
Copies of the proposed ordinances and
resolutions are on file for public examination in the
office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Iowa City, Iowa.
Persons wishing to make their views known for
Council consideration are encouraged to appear

7:00 p.m. on the 18th day of November, 2008, in
Emma J. Harvat Hall, City Hall, 410 E.
Washington Street, Iowa City, Iowa, or if said
meeting is cancelled, at the next meeting of the
City Council thereafter as posted by the City Clerk;
at which hearing the Council will consider:
An ordinance amending Title 14, Zoning
Code, to establish a minimum parking ~,
requirement for household living uses in
the Central Business (CB-10) Zone and to
amend the definition of "household" to
reduce the number of unrelated persons
allowed to reside in one dwelling unit from
five (5) unrelated persons to three (3)
unrelated persons in the Community
Commercial (CC-2), Central Business
Service (CB-2), Central Business Support
(CB-5) and Central Business (CB-10)
Zones.
Copies of the proposed ordinances and

office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Iowa City, Iowa.
