Comment: This resoluiton approves the plans and specifications and sets the date for receiving bids for two compact .vans for use by the Water Division of, the Department of Public Works.' Comment: This resolution approves plans and specifications for the trimming of approximately 600 trees on Iowa City streets. Action: Item No. 15 REPORT ON'REQUEST FROM BRENDEN NOEL WARD FOR $500 GRANT ` TO COVER OPERATIONS OF THE CHILDREN'S PLAYHOUSE. Comment: Mr. ward will be present at the January 16 Council meeting to discuss this request. The 'staff would like to bring Council's attention the fact that th'e ,to Department'of Parks and`Recreation is revitalizing a well established,' program of similar nature. The Iowa City YoungFootliters organized ,by,the City several years ago after many years ofinstructionaltype, programs,''isbeginning operation again later this month'. A well qualified person to 'lead this group has been hired and with :certain ire-alighment of funds, the program is being financed as a part of the present budget without an ;( increase necessary.
