Comment: This item was deferred from July 31, 1973.i' The City staff is still conferring with HUD officials and re uests that the item be deferred' 4 until a;,staff report is, ready•. r Action: It m' o. 12' r CONSIDER.RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACTAMENDMENT FOR THE' 1973 'SIDEWALK ASSESSMENT PROGRAM. Comment:: At the City, Council meeting held on'Ju1 10; 1973, under Item No. 16 a resolution was passed.deleting that , sidewalk in front.of 1430 and '1506 Rochester Avenue from , the 'program'. The reason thatrthese sidewalks,: were c deleted was' extra' cost of'the retaining wall in front of these properties. A "tenative agreement has now been''' reached with the affected property ';owners whereby the property owners accept the responsibility maintenance ,for of a two to one slope which would run from'a three foot retainingwall ; as > , shown on ,the original plans, back towards the property lines. This resolution would place the sidewalk adjacent'to these properties back into this.'sidewalk construction program. ,`The staff recommends approval of''this resolution.
