LICENSE APPLICATION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF IOWA CITY, IOWA, that
a Class B Sunday__AalQs Permit application is hereby
approved.for the following named person or persons at the
following described location:
Ernest Warren Stoppelmoor dba/the Links', 1011 Arthur Street
Said approval shall be subject to any conditions or restrictions
hereafter imposed by ordinance of state law.
The City Clerk shall, cause a recommendation for approval to
be endorsedupon' the application and forward the same together
with the license fee, bond, and all other information orldocu-
ments required to the Iowa Beer and Liquor Control Department.

RESOLUTION Of APPROVAL 01: CLASS C LIQUOR CONTROL LICENSE
APPLICATION.
BE, IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF IOWA CITY, IOWA, that a
Class C Liquor Control License application is hereby ap-
proved for the following named person or persons at the following
described location:
C. O. D. Steam Laundry (BMF, Inc.), 211-213 Iowa Avenue, 'Iowa City
Said approval shall be subject to any conditions or restrictions here-
after imposed by ordinance or state lata.
The City Clerk shall cause a recommendation for approval to be
endorsed upon the application and forward the same together with the
license, fee, certificate of financial responsibility, surety bond,
sketch of the premises and all other information or documents required
to the Iowa Beer and Liquor Control Department.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the amount of,the check to accompany
each bid shall be equal to five (5) per cent of the bid of each bidder.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to
advertise for bids on the purchase' of said equipment,, bids to be received
by the City of Iowa City, Iowa, at the office of the City Clerk in the
Civic Center until 10:00 A.M. CST on the 13th'day
of Dec., 1973, and opened then, and thereupon referred to the City
Council ,for action upon said bids at a:meeting to be held at the Council
Chambers, Civic Center, Iowa City, Iowa, on thel8th day of December
1973, 4:0O P.M. Notice to Bidders is to be published once each
week for two consecutive weeks in the Iowa City Press Citizen, a legal

hoist for use by the Equipment Pool of the Department of Public Works

DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE CITY -
UNIVERSITY PROJECT, IOWA R-14, CONTRACT #3
WHEREAS, preliminary plans and specifications are now on file in the
Office of the City Clerk for the mxx&tt=&-k=xmk demolition and site clearance
of 20 parcels in City -University Project Iowa R-14, Contract No. 3,
within the City of Iowa City, Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Iowa City, Iowa:
1. That it is deemed advisable and necessary to a= -=Mat initiate
Contract #3,
within the City of Iowa City, Iowa, to -wit: Demolition and Site Clearance
of 20 parcels in the downtown area, including five 3 -story masonry
buildings, one 1 -story masonry building; one gas station with a
one-story masonry building and underground storage tanks, 10 wood
frame houses, two masonry houses and miscellaneous garages and
small buildings. There is one parking, lot to be removed. ',There
are some party or common( wallsthat are to have the foundations
waterproofed with gunnite and mastic and, other walls painted with
cememt based compound. The excavations are',to'be backfilled.
2. The method of construction shall be by contract.
3. The entire cost of the improvement shall be paid from the General
Funds of the City of Iowa City.and shall not be assessed against benefited
property.
4. That the City Council shall meet at 4:00 o'clock P.M.,CST , on
the 4th day of December 1973 , in the Council Chambers' of
the Civic Center for the purpose of hearing objections to said improvement or
the cost thereof.
5. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of
this Resolution to be 'published as required by law.
