PAVEMENT PATCHING PROJECT IN THE CITY OF IOWA

Public notice is hereby given that the City Council of the
City of Iowa City, Iowa, will conduct a public hearing on the
Project Manual, including the plans, specifications, contract,
and estimated cost for the construction of the 2022 Water
Pavement Patching in said city at 6:00 p.m. on the 31 day of
May, 2022, said meeting to be held in the Emma J. Harvat
Hall in the City Hall, 410 East Washington Street in said city,
or if said meeting is cancelled, at the next meeting of the City
Council thereafter as posted by the City Clerk.
This project includes pavement repairs associated with
water main breaks on various streets throughout Iowa City.
Some locations will also require the removal and
replacement of driveway, sidewalk, and/or curb and gutter
Said Project Manual and estimated cost are now on file
in the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall in Iowa City,
Iowa, and may be inspected by any interested persons.
Any interested persons may appear at said meeting of
the City Council for the purpose of making objections to and
comments concerning said Project Manual or the cost of
making said improvement.
This notice is given by order of the City Council of
the City of Iowa City, Iowa and as provided by law.

Public notice is hereby given that the City Council of the
City of Iowa City, Iowa, will conduct a public hearing on the
Project Manual, including the plans, specifications, contract,
and estimated cost for the construction of the Rochester
Avenue Reconstruction Project in said city at 6 p.m. on the
3 day of May 2022 said meeting to be held in the Emma J.
Harvat Hall in the City Hall, 410 East Washington Street in
said city, or if said meeting is cancelled, at the next meeting
of the City Council thereafter as posted by the City Clerk.
This project includes reconstruction of Rochester
Avenue from the bridge at Ralston Creek to just east of 1s'
Avenue. The project will provide two 10 -foot lanes from
Ralston Creek to Rita Lyn Court and three 10' lanes from
Rita Lyn Court to 1St Avenue with 6.5 -foot bicycle lanes and
associated buffers. Construction will include 4000 linear
feet of storm sewer, 3700 linear feet of water main and
installation of a pressure reducing valve and vault, 17,000
square yards of concrete pavement, sidewalk
improvements, cast in place retaining walls, traffic signals,
street lighting and restoration.
Said Project Manual and estimated cost are now on file
in the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall in Iowa City,
Iowa, and may be inspected by any interested persons.
Any interested persons may appear at said meeting of
the City Council for the purpose of making objections to and
comments concerning said Project Manual or the cost of
making said improvement.

Drive And Southlawn Drive Intersection Improvement in
said city at 6:00 p.m. on the 3rd day of May, 2022, said

The Project will involve the installation of approximately
101 linear feet of storm sewer pipe and associated
structures, approximately 343 square yards of pavement
replacement, approximately 156 linear feet of trenched
water main, approximately 106 square yards of sidewalk
replacement and associated landscape restoration and is
located at the intersection of Eastwood Drive and Southlawn
Drive in Iowa City, Iowa, 52245.
Said Project Manual and estimated cost are now on file
in the office of the City Clerk in the City Hall in Iowa City,
Iowa, and may be inspected by any interested persons.
Any interested persons may appear at said meeting of
the City Council for the purpose of making objections to and

Public notice is hereby given that the City of Iowa City, Iowa will conduct a public hearing on the City's FY2023 Iowa DOT
Consolidated Transit Funding grant application. The application will be for approximately $571,098 (3.41%) in Iowa DOT
State Transit Assistance formula funds to be used for operating and/or purchasing capital items for Iowa City Transit
during FY2023. Said application will also include a listing of projects to be applied for in FY2022 from the Federal Transit
Administration (FTA) Section 5307, Section 5310, and/or Section 5339 programs. The FTA Section 5307 program
provides formula federal funds to be used for the operating and capital needs of Iowa City Transit. The Section 5310
program provides federal funds to be used for programs assisting persons with disabilities and Section 5339 is a
discretionary capital funding program. Section 5307, Section 5310, and/or Section 5339 projects to be applied for in

Street, Iowa City. A preliminary application will be on file April 5, 2022, at the Metropolitan Planning Organization of
Johnson County (MPOJC), Iowa City City Hall, 410 E. Washington Street, Iowa City, and may be inspected by interested

Notice of Bond Sale
Time and Place of Sealed Bids: Bids for the sale of Bonds of the City of Iowa City, State
of Iowa, hereafter described, must be received at the office of the Finance Director, City Hall,
410 E. Washington, Iowa City, Iowa 52440 (the "Issuer") before 11:00 A. M., on the 3`d day of
May, 2022. The bids will then be publicly opened and referred for action to the meeting of the
City Council in conformity with the Terms of Offering.
The Bonds: The Bonds to be offered are the following:
General Obligation Bonds, Series 2022, in the amount of FILED
$10,255,000*, to be dated June 1, 2022 (the "Bonds"). Bids to be APR 2 0 ZOZZ
received before 11:00 A.M.

*Subject to principal adjustment pursuant to official Terms of Offering. Iowa City, Iowa
Manner of Biddi: Open bids will not be received. Bids will be received in any of the
following methods:
Sealed Biddin : Sealed bids may be submitted and will be received at the office
of the Finance Director at City Hall, 410 E. Washington, Iowa City, Iowa 52440.
Electronic Internet Biddin : Electronic internet bids will be received at the office
of the Finance Director at City Hall, 410 E. Washington, Iowa City, Iowa 52440.
The bids must be submitted through the SpeerAuction competitive bidding
system.
Electronic Facsimile Bidding: Electronic facsimile bids will be received by the
City's Municipal Advisor, Speer Financial, Waterloo, Iowa (facsimile number:
(319) 291-8628 or (319) 341-4008). Electronic facsimile bids will be treated as
sealed bids.
Consideration of Bids: After the time for receipt of bids has passed, the close of sealed
bids will be announced. Sealed bids will then be publicly opened and announced. Finally,
electronic internet bids will be accessed and announced.
Sale and Award: The sale and award of the Bonds will be held in the Council Chambers,
at Emma Harvat Hall, 410 E. Washington St., Iowa City, Iowa at a meeting of the City Council
on the above date at 6:00 P.M.
Official Statement: The Issuer has issued an Official Statement of information pertaining
to the Bonds to be offered, including a statement of the Terms of Offering and an Official Bid
Form, which is incorporated by reference as a part of this notice. The Official Statement may be
obtained by request addressed to the City Clerk, City Hall, 410 E. Washington, Iowa City, Iowa
52440 or the Issuer's Municipal Advisor, Speer Financial, 531 Commercial Street, Waterloo,
Iowa, 50703, Telephone: 319-291-2077.
Terms of Offerin : All bids shall be in conformity with and the sale shall be in
accordance with the Terms of Offering as set forth in the Official Statement.
Legal Opinion: The Bonds will be sold subject to the opinion of Ahlers & Cooney, P.C.,
Attorneys of Des Moines, Iowa, as to the legality and their opinion will be furnished together
with the printed Bonds without cost to the purchaser and all bids will be so conditioned. Except
to the extent necessary to issue their opinion as to the legality of the Bonds, the attorneys will not
examine or review or express any opinion with respect to the accuracy or completeness of
documents, materials or statements made or furnished in connection with the sale, issuance or
marketing of the Bonds.

irregularities as deemed to be in the best interests of the public.
