Information Packet Discussion (June 23, June 30, July 71
June 23
1. (IP2: Memo from Neighborhood & Development Services Director: 2021 Neighborhood
& Development Services Annual Report) Councilor Taylor thanked staff for the helpful
and important data in the report.

1. (IP4: Civil Service Examination: Mass Transit Operator) Councilor Taylor mentioned the
list of six (6) new transit operators and welcomed them.
July 7
1. (IP8: 2022 Building Statistics —June) Council Bergus noted the June numbers were
much better than they had recently been.
2. (IP6: FY2023 Budget At-a-Glance) Council Weiner stated the report is very helpful and
thanked staff.
3. (IP4: Memo from Neighborhood & Development Services Director: 724 Ronald's Street)
Neighborhood & Development Services Director Hightshoe summarized the memo
included in the July 7 information packet (IP4). GT Karr with the Home Builders
Association provided information regarding the timeline for the project. City Manager
Fruin provided additional information. Individual council members expressed their views.
Action: Staff will move forward developing an agreement for the sale of 724 Ronalds to
the Housing Fellowship and will coordinate with partners on a good neighbor meeting to
solicit input from the surrounding neighborhood. The Historic Preservation Commission
will also be included on that good neighbor meeting invite list.
University of Iowa Student Government (USG) Updates
USG updates were provided at the 6:00 p.m. special formal meeting.
Council updates on assigned boards, commissions, and committees
No updates.
