Narrative of Offense Committed
On or about the above stated date and time, the Defendant did
discharge a firearm in a reckless manner resulting in property damage
NARRATIVE
OFFICERS RESPONDED TO THE ALLEY IN THE 100 BLOCK OF S CLINTON ST AFTER RECEIVING MULTIPLE REPORTS OF SHOT(S) FIRED.
INVESTIGATION INTO THE MATTER DETERMINED THAT THE DEFENDANT WAS IN AN ALTERCATION WITH A GROUP OF PEOPLE OUTSIDE OF
PINTS BAR. THE DEFENDANT PULLED OUT A GUN, CHAMBERED A LIVE ROUND BY RACKING THE SLIDE, THEN HANDED THE GUN OFF
TEMPORARILY TO ANOTHER TO PERSON TO ENGAGE IN AN ALTERCATION WITH A GROUP OF PEOPLE. AFTER THE ALTERCATION, AND OTHER
PEOPLE WERE A CONSIDERABLE DISTANCE AWAY AND NO WAY A THREAT TO THE DEFENDANT, HE BRANDISHED THE HANDGUN AND FIRED AT
LEAST ONE SHOT TOWARDS THE GROUP OF PEOPLE, CAUSING THEM TO FLEE FOR SAFETY IN ALL DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS. IT WAS
DETERMINED THAT THE SHOT LIKELY MISSED HITTING ANYBODY AND THE BULLET CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE OLD CAPITOL MALL.
