Executive Summary:
As directed by Title 9, Chapter 1, Section 3B of the City Code, this is to advise the City
Council of the following action:
Pursuant to Section 9-1-3A (5); Establish "Yield" control for Covered Wagon Drive at the
intersection with Sand Prairie Drive.
Background / Analysis:
This action is being taken to establish traffic control for the traffic circle at Covered Wagon
Drive and Sand Prairie Drive.

Prohibit parking on the east side of the 900 block of Harlocke Street from the end of the street
to a point approximately 60 feet north.

Executive Summary:
As directed by Title 9, Chapter 1, Section 3B of the City Code, this is to advise the City
Council of the following action:
Pursuant to Section 9-1-3A (10); Prohibit parking on the east side of the 900 block of
Harlocke Street from the end of the street to a point approximately 60 feet north.
Background / Analysis:
This action is being taken at the request of the Fire Marshal to improve emergency access to
the Hawks Ridge property located at 100 Hawk Ridge Drive in Iowa City. When vehicles park
on -street adjacent to the emergency access at the end of Harlocke Street, it becomes
difficult, if not impossible, for emergency response vehicles to access the Hawks Ridge
property. This parking prohibition will remove approximately two on -street parking spaces.

Removal of (10) on -street moped parking spaces on the east side of the 300 block of South
Dubuque Street and the establishment of (1) 15 Minute Vehicle Loading Zone from 6:30 am to
6 pm with a Tow Away Zone from 2 am to 6 am.

Zone from 6:30 am to 6 pm with a Tow Away Zone from 2 am to 6 am.
This action is being taken at the request of the Transportation Services Department to provide
an additional loading zone on the 300 block of South Dubuque Street.
