Landfill to close at noon on Saturdays
Beginning Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, the Iowa City Landfill will close at noon on Saturdays. This will impact all services avail-
able at the landfill including trash disposal, recycling, yard and food waste drop-off, household hazardous materials, and wood
chip and composting sales. Additional items to note:
• Materials delivered from outside of the service area will
be turned away. Please be prepared to show identification
with proof of address.
• There may be a line when you arrive. Please plan accord-
ingly and arrive early to have your load emptied and
settled by noon.

for recycling and reuse.

Sat *NEW 7 a.m. – 12 p.m.

monitors, corrugated cardboard, lead acid batteries, oil,
