Councilors discussed dissolving the Community Police Review Board in light of new state law (SF 311) prohibiting citizen boards from reviewing police conduct. The CPRB unanimously recommended dissolving the Board and replacing it with a police -led, informal advisory group for community outreach and policy discussion. While some supported the change for its flexibility and dialogue potential, others worried police -led meetings might discourage participation and suggested adding non -police facilitation or broader community involvement. The council agreed to accept the recommendation while pursuing continued public engagement and accessibility.
