Narrative of Offense Committed
On or about the above stated date and time, the Defendant did
intentionally damage, deface, alter or destroy tangible property, to -wit: vehicle tire, the cost of replacing, restoring and/or repairing of which is
$300 or less
NARRATIVE
On or about the above date and time, officers with the Iowa City Police Department responded to 3500 Shamrock Place for a report of multiple shots fired.
Officers on scene located 11 fired cartridge casings and identified two residences struck by gunfire. The investigation showed that the Defendant (BEARD)
arrived on scene with a Co-Defendant to target the victim as retaliation to a previous incident. Video footage depicts BEARD slashing the victim's tire on their
vehicle prior to the shooting occurring. BEARD admitted to committing the act when interviewed by police. The estimated cost to replace the tire is under $300.
