NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will
be held by the City Council of Iowa City, Iowa, at
7:00 p.m. on the 18th day of August, 2009, in
Emma J. Harvat Hall, 410 E. Washington Street,
Iowa City, Iowa, or if said meeting is cancelled, at
the next meeting of the City Council thereafter as
posted by the City Clerk; at which hearing the
Council will consider:
An ordinance changing the zoning from
Medium Density Single Family (RS-8)
zone to High Density Single Family (RS-
12) zone for 4.29 acres of property located
on Walden Road, west of Mormon Trek
Boulevard.
Copies of the proposed ordinances and
resolutions are on file for public examination in the
office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Iowa City, Iowa.
Persons wishing to make their views known for
Council consideration are encouraged to appear
at the above-mentioned time and place.

Emma J. Harvat Hall, 410 E. Washington Street,
Iowa City, Iowa, or if said meeting is cancelled, at
the next meeting of the City Council thereafter as
posted by the City Clerk; at which hearing the
Council will consider:
1. An ordinance amending the
zoning code to allow
communication towers in the
Interim Development Residential
(ID-RS and ID-RM) zones by
special exception.
2. An ordinance changing the zoning
from Community Commercial
(CC-2) zone to Intensive
Commercial (CI-1) zone for 3,450
sq. feet of property located at 611
Southgate Avenue.
Copies of the proposed ordinances and
resolutions are on file for public examination in the
office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Iowa City, Iowa.

Iowa City will hold a public hearing on the 29th day
of September 2009, at 7:00 p.m. at Emma J.
Harvat Hall, City Hall, 410 E. Washington Street,
Iowa City, Iowa, or if said meeting is cancelled, at
the next meeting of the City Council thereafter as
posted by the City Clerk; at which hearing the City
Council will consider a resolution authorizing an
agreement to lease City property at the Iowa City
Industrial Park to the Joint Emergency
Communications Services Association of Johnson
County for placement of a monopole
telecommunication tower and a covered storage
facility.
Copies of the proposed resolution and lease are
on file for public examination in the office of the
City Clerk, City Hall, Iowa City, Iowa. Persons
wishing to make their views known for City
Council consideration are encouraged to appear
at the above-mentioned time and place.

Resolution and lease were on file until passage of the resolution on
September 29.
Resolution was changed 9/28 to reflect the lease would not be retained after
passage of the resolution.
