ITEM 3. CONSIDER A RESOLUTION CONCERNING MEDIACOM COMMUNICA'PIONS O~-~3'L~ CORPORATION'S REQUESTED RATE INCREASE AND ESTABLISHING MAXIMUM PERMITFED RATES FOR BASIC CABLE SERVICE. Comment: Analysis of Mediacom's most recent rate filings resulted in a significant difference in the maximum permitted rate for basic cable service as calculated by Mediacom versus that calculated by the City's consultant. This resolution denies Mediacom's proposed maximum permitted rate for basic cable service of $14.00 per month. It establishes a maximum permitted rate of $11.83 per month as calculated by the City. Other proposed rates are deemed appropriate and are approved. The rate changes will occur on August 1,2003. Action: ITEM 4.
