Dear Friends and Colleagues,
With deep regret I wish to inform you that with this letter, I officially resign my
position on the Housing and Community Development Commission. Due to increased
academic conflict I have not been able to fulfill my duties as a commissioner. I have
made every effort to alleviate the time constraints in order to continue my work on the
commission, but that has proven itself impossible.
Although I deeply regret that I will no longer be a part of this important group, 1
wish to say that in the past twenty months of service, I have been pleased with all that
we have done. I wanted to help other Iowa City citizens, work with those individuals
that make decisions for the city's residents, and learn more about how our local
government operates. I have done all of that. I only wish I could do more. Someday I
will take the chance to serve the people of this fine city again. Until then I look forward
to watching your progress. Please feel free to contact me at any time with questions or
concerns. Thank you for my opportunity and experience.
