HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998-03-10 AppointmentNOTICE THE CITY COUNCIL OF IOWA CITY IS CONSIDERING APPOINTMENT TO THE FOLLOWING COMMITTEE: DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE One vacancy Unexpired Term in Addition to Three-Year Term February 24, 1998- July 1, 2001 (Architect) Duties of the Design Review Committee include recommending for City Council approval aspects of urban design components of urban renewal projects located in areas designated by City Ordinance. The City Council may also request advice and recommendations from the Design Review Committee on projects located outside of such designated urban renewal areas such as those projects receiving property tax exemption under the Near Southside Commercial Urban Revitalization Plan and the Near Southside Residential Urban Revitalization Plan. Iowa City appointed members of boards and commissions must be eligible electors of the City of Iowa City. The Design Review Committee meets the third Monday of each month at 4:00 p.m. This appointment will be made at the February 24, 1998, meeting of the City Council at 7:00 p.m. The City of Iowa City encourages diversity in the appointment of citizens to boards and commissions. Persons interested in being considered for this position should contact the City Clerk at the Civic Center, 410 E. Washington Street.
