Washington St. Iowa City, IA 52240 Re: Iowa City representatives to the JCCOG Urbanized Area Policy Board Dear Marian: At the May 14, 1997 meeting of the JCCOG Urbanized Area Policy Board, the Board voted to amend Article VI, Section 1, of the JCCOG Amended Articles of Agreement. The change adopted by the Board increased Iowa City's representation from five representatives to six representatives, and also increased University Heights' and North Liberty's voting representation from a half-vote to a full vote each. The JCCOG Urbanized Area Policy Board formerly consisted of twelve representatives with a total of eleven votes. It now consists of thirteen representatives with thirteen votes. Would you please proceed at your earliest convenience to select a sixth Iowa City representative to the JCCOG Urbanized Area Policy Board. According to Article VI, Section 8, of the JCCOG Amended Articles of Agreement, representatives to the Urbanized Area Policy Board shall be elected officials. Elected official representatives may select the City Manager, City Attorney, or City Clerk from the member agency to serve as an alternate for individual meetings. Our next scheduled meeting is July 9, 1997. It would be helpful if you could have the new representative selected prior to this meeting. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Thank you for your consideration of this matter. Sincerely, . Jeff Davidson Executive Director cc: Naomi Novick Steve Atkins bc5-2J D.wp5
