City community will celebrate Pride Month in June, and
the Iowa City community is strengthened and enhancecl
through the contributions of all its diverse citizens;
eretore, I, Naomi J. Novick, Mayor of the City of Iowa City, do
hereby proclaim the month of J~,~e, 1997, to be
in Iowa City, and encourage all. citizens to learn about and take pride in
our diversity and the people who contribute to it.
