Re: PCRB appointment
At Council work session of August 25 five individuals were selected as PCRB
members. Prior to the official appointment on August 26 it was discovered
that David Coleman lived outside the City limits and it was agreed that there
was preference to appointments of City residents. Therefore, Mr. Coleman
was not appointed, rather Floyd Akins was appointed to a three year on
August 26.
Shortly after the appointment Mr. Akins submitted his verbal resignation to
the Mayor (prior to PCRB ever meeting). The three year appointment was
placed on the September 9 agenda and Patricia Farrant was appointed.
PCRB met for the first time on September 11 with the five appointees
(Watson, Cohen, Hoffey, Raymond, and Farrant).
