Dear Mayor Lehman:
Your letter of February 24 was discussed at the March I0 University Heights Council Meeting.
Plans to add a right turn lane to Melrose Avenue east of the Hawkins Drive intersection raises no
special thoughts or concerns.
University Heights is receptive to the idea of coordinating the traffic signals with Iowa City.
Thank you for including University Heights in discussions pertaining to the traffic situation on
Melrose Avenue. It is my hope to maintain cooperative and amicable relations between our two
cities.
Sincerely,
Donald S. Swanson
Mayor
