advances in early cancer detection, treatment and research; and
~t~t~;, the between 1991 and 1995, the national cancer death rate
fell 2.6 percent; and
~ht;t;~, over one million new cancer cases are expected to be
diagnosed in the U.S. this year; and
~)trt~, the great city of Iowa City has an active, productive cancer
survivor population, demonstrating that a cancer diagnosis is no
longer an automatic death sentence.
