ITEM NO. 4 CONSIDER RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN AND
THE CITY CLERK TO ATTEST AN EXTENSION OF THE AGREEMENT
WITH IOWA REALTY COMMERCIAL TO SELL AND LEASE
PROPERTY IN THE AVIATION COMMERCE PARK.
O'Donnell/ Ernie, how, well let's get a motion first.
Elliott/ So moved.
Lehman/ Moved by Elliott.
O'Donnell/ Second.
Lehman/ Seconded by O'Donnell. Discussion?
O'Donnell/ How long is this for?
Lehman/ Six months.
O'Donnell/ It's another six months?
Lehman/ The first was 90 days I believe.
Bailey/ Do we have a sense, go ahead Mike.
O'Donnell/ No, that's okay I just wanted to know how long the extension was.
Bailey/ Do we have a sense on how this has been going? What kind of leads
they've have?
Lehman/ I was at their meeting Thursday night and the realtor, who is Harry Wolf,
was at the meeting, and I believe if I am not mistaken the Commission
has asked him for some sod of a visibility study on the buy ability of that
property and he indicated that a 90 day period really wasn't long enough
to justify the sort of study they were looking for and he asked for a six
month extension to kind of justify the cost of putting together that visibility
study and the Commission agreed with him 6 to nothing.
Vanderhoef/ What is their expectation for additional dollars if they do a visibility?
Lehman/ Harry's spending the money.
Vanderhoef/ That's what I'm asking.
Dilkes/ The Commission doesn't pay
Lehman/ No.
Vanderhoef/ There isn't any request for funding for that?

Lehman/ No, no. lhis is strictly....he doesn't want to spend the money unless he
has enough time to have a reasonable effod to market the property.
Vanderhoef/ ah ah.
Dilkes/ And my understanding there are some significant leads as well.
Bailey/ That's what I wanted to know.
Atkins/ And we have at least two we are negotiating.
Bailey/ So something is happening it's just going to take a longer period of time.
Lehman/ It seemed very positive. His report to the Airport Commission. And they
seemed, obviously they agreed, they voted 6/0. Any other discussion?
Roll call.
Champion/ Because I wasn't here for the discussion I'm not going to vote. Is that all
right?
Dilkes/ Yea.
Lehman/ The vote is 5/1, with one abstention. And the motion carries.
