the City High Litde Hawks Boys Track Team experienced great
success during the 1995 season, and
~r~g, this successful season culminated in the winning of the State
Track Tide on May 27, 1995, and

members richly deserve the support ancl recognition of this

Iowa City schools are ~ortunate to have many brilliant
students, and
i~l~r~ltg, occasionally one student's accomplishments are such that they
deserve special recognition, and
~l~r~flg, Jay Chyung ,,,as a top winner at the 24th Annual U.S&.
Mathematical Olymplad in May, and
l~}I~l~flg, he is one of the six members of the U.S. International
Mathematical Olympiad team which will compete against squads
from 70 other countries in Toronto, Canada, in July, and
~l~r~fl~, Jay is one of eight USAMO winners who will be honored at
a June 12 awards ceremony at the National Academy of Sciences
in Washington, D.C., and

passes through the heart of the City, and
i~t~rettg, the Iowa River is the City's primary source of drinking water
as well as a vital recreational resource, and
f~r~llg, the month of June 1995 has been proclaimed by Governor
Terry Branstad, in conjunction with "American Rivers Month," as
a time for all Iowans to partake of the recreational opportunities
provided along the State's rivers and to become informed and
involved in actions to assure the rivers' continued quality.
