has operatee[ since 1974 to provide localgovernments wi~ the
resources .required to meet the needs offuersons of low and
moderate income, and CDBG funds are used by thousands of non-
profi.'t organlz. atiqns. throughout the .nation. to address pressing
neighhorhoo,I and human service needs; and
~re~g, the CDBG program is one of the few remaining Federal
programs that uforides local governments with the resources to
meet the neech of our lower income residents by funding
neighborhooA revitalization, housing rehabilitation, public
improvements, job training and human services; and
~e~lg, Iowa City recognizes that the CDBG Program is a
uartnershlp of Federal and local government, as well as non-profit,
~or-urofit and other community organizations, and relies heavily on
the ~dlcation and good will of our combined efforts; and
