With the presentation of your business plan as outlined in your January 25 document, the City Council will fulfill their commitment of $30,000 in emergency funding for Arts Iowa City. The $15,000 is enclosed. The Council also discussed your proposed $30,000 in new funding for FY2001. At their preliminary budget discussions they have chosen not to include any additional funding beyond the $30,000 commitment, which they have now fulfilled. The City Council will conduct a budget hearing on February 29 at 7 p.m. At that time, if you are interested in expressing any further opinions or concerns with respect to this decision, you may feel free to do so. The February 8 work session remains at 6:30 PM.
