Dear Nancy:
The City Council has approved the additional $15,000 in funding for Ads Iowa City. With
the presentation of your business plan as outlined in your January 25 document, the
City Council will fulfill their commitment of $30,000 in emergency funding for Arts Iowa
City. The $15,000 is enclosed. The Council also discussed your proposed $30,000 in
new funding for FY2001. At their preliminary budget discussions they have chosen not
to include any additional funding beyond the $30,000 commitment, which they have now
fulfilled.
The City Council will conduct a budget hearing on February 29 at 7 p.m. At that time, if
you are interested in expressing any further opinions or concerns with respect to this
decision, you may feel free to do so.
Sincerely,
'S te~p~n J. A ./~,~~~/4,,~
