'i~Iotv, therefore, I, Ernest W, Lehman, Mayor of the City of Iowa City, Iowa, do hereby proclaim observance of · ancer nrutunrs' 3aU aturi a , 2t , 200t in Iowa City and urge all citizens to join in this joyous celebration of life from Si~ed in Iowa CiW, Iowa, this 16m day of May, 2000. ~l~[~ereR~ the Official Kickoff of the Englert Civic Theatre Group's fundraising campaign to purchase and renovate the historic Englert Theatre is soon appro. ach~ng; and ~][~l~reRd~ dozens of community volunteers are working on the project; an ~][~ere~t~. the Campaign Kickoff event will feature theater, dance and music performances in the City Plaza Minipark from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m. representing the shows to be presented in the restored Englert Theatre; and I erea , an En~lert Theatre open house will be held all afternoon during the Kick-off event giving the community an opportunity for guided tours of the historic theater and an explanation of the renovation work that will be necessary to return the Englert to a live performance space. o~a~refore i, Ernest W.
