City of Iowa City, IA
Civic Center
Dear Mayor Lehman and City Council Members:
It is with considerable regret that I must resign my membership on
Iowa City Planning and Zoning Commission to be effective at the conclusion of the
June 15, 2000 meeting of the Commission. Jane and I have purchased a new
home just north of Iowa City and will therefor no longer be residing in Iowa City,
which I understand is a condition of membership.
I have just completed the fourth year of my second term on the Commission and
had fully intended to complete that term, but our relocation makes that impossible.
I have very much enjoyed my terms on the Commission, working with fellow
commissioners, the excellent city staff and the Council and wish to offer my
appreciation for the opportunity to have served in this capacity as a citizen of the
community.

Dear Scott:
I am presently not able to renew my term representing College Green on the Historic
Preservation Commission. I have increased work on my house and other commitments
that will reduce time 1 had for commission meetings. Consequently, I am resigning from
the Commission effective after the June 2000 meeting.
I have enjoyed my time on the Commission and feel I have learned much reviewing
applications for certificates of appropriateness. I was happy to do initial research with
Frank Gersh on the Governor-Lucas conservation district guidelines and see progress
made on the Longfellow Historic District. It was also a pleasure working with you and
the staff at the City Offices as well.
It' there are situations having to do with the College Green Historic District in the future, I
would be happy to be of assistance that I can.
Sincerely,
Pamela Michaud
I hereby resign my position as chairman of the Iowa City Riverfi'ont and Natural Areas Commission. Thank
you for the opportunity to serve the Iowa City and Johnson County areas.
Sincerely,
