Mr. Ernie Lehman, Mayor
Members of the Iowa City Council
Steve Atkins, Manage
Civic Center
410 East Washington Street
Iowa City, Iowa 52240
In accordance with Resolution #71-253, the Steering Committee of Project GREEN is
recommending the reappointment of Janet Maas as a trustee of the GREEN Fund for another
three-year term. As trustee and treasurer of Project GREEN, Janet meets with the Steering
Committee and is in regular contact with the other two trustees of the GREEN Fund.
We are presently working with our attorney to apply for our own tax exempt status, acquiring
our own employer identification number; but we do not expect this application finalized before
we need to reappoint a trustee of the GREEN Fund. We request Jan Maas' reappointment and
approval by the City Council.
We will inform you when we have received our EID number, and, at that time, request a
dissolution of our commission status with the City.
