PROCLAMATION
Whereas, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people across the country
celebrate their pride in their culture and community in the month of June; and
Whereas, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people in the Iowa City
community will celebrate Pride Month in June; and
Whereas, the Iowa City community is strengthened and enhanced through the
contributions of all its diverse citizens;
Now, therefore, I, Ernest W, Lehman, Mayor of the City of Iowa City, Iowa,
do hereby proclaim the month of June 2001 to be
Pride Month
