HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-06-26 Appointment FILED JUN 20 PH 3:35 June 18, 2001 CITY CLERK Terry Trueblood IOWA CITY IOWA City of Iowa City Parks & Recreation Division 220 S. Gilbert Street Iowa City, Iowa 52240 Dear Terry: The purpose of this letter is to let you know that I very reluctantly resign my position on the Parks & Recreation Commission. At the end of May I made an offer that was accepted on a small acreage off Newport Road in Johnson County. I am scheduled to close on the property on July 16"'. Barring any unforeseen issues with house inspections, etc., I expect to move just shortly after the closing. I understand that with my move from Iowa City to a residence outside of the city to Johnson County that I must resign my position with the City of Iowa City Parks & Recreation Commission. Since the move occurs after the date of our scheduled July meeting, I would very much like to attend the July meeting. Terry, as you know, I have greatly valued contributing to the work and activities of the commission and would clearly stay on board if I could. It has been a terrific experience for me to have the opportunity to work with you and the other commissioners to pursue the goals and objectives of the division. I would like to acknowledge your tremendous leadership and friendship, and commend Matt and the entire commission for their hard work and dedication. The everyday work that Mike Moran and the Program Directors carryout on behalf of the division very much enriches our community and it is very evident how hard they work. Please let me know if you should have any questions. Again, thank you for the opportunity to serve on this commission. Sincerely, Barbara Endel, Ph.D. cc.
