Over the past five years our family has had the opportunity to be a part of the University of Iowa Dance Marathon organization. We would like to ask for your support in assisting this great organization as they continue to meet the needs of children and families dealing with a critical illness. Childhood cancer is a scary event in a family's life. None of us know or understand why we were chosen to face this crisis. Knowing, however, that there are others who cars to help us face one of life's greatest challenges in tremendously uplifting. Though my cancer has been in remission for the past ten years, I will continue to be grateful to the University of Iowa Hospitals not only for their medical knowledge, but also for the many life-long friendships I have made along the way. With the assistance of a Dance Marathon Scholarship, this fall I will be attending The University of Iowa to study Environmental Sciences. My future Dear Dance Marathon Alumni & Friends, plans also include being a member of the Dance Marathon organization, permitting me along with other students to engage Dance Marathon itself is an event to remember each year.
