Moved by Champion, seconded by Wright, to set a public hearing for September 6 on an ordinance amending Title 14, Zoning Code, Article 9A, General Definitions, to clarify the definition of enlargement/expansion as it relates to alcohol sales- oriented uses. Moved by Wilburn, seconded by Bailey, to adopt RES. 11 -258, authorizing CONVEYANCE OF A SINGLE FAMILY HOME LOCATED AT 519 NORTH JOHNSON STREET. A public hearing was held on a resolution authorizing conveyance of a single family home located at 904 Bowery Street. No one appeared. Moved by Bailey, seconded by Wright, to adopt RES. 11 -259, AUTHORIZING CONVEYANCE OF A SINGLE FAMILY HOME LOCATED AT 904 BOWERY STREET. A public hearing was held on a resolution determining an area of the city to be an economic development area, and that the rehabilitation, conservation, redevelopment, development, or a combination thereof, of such area is necessary in the interest of the public health, safety or welfare of the residents of the city; designating such area as appropriate for an urban renewal project; and adopting the urban renewal plan for the Scott Six Urban Renewal Area, Amendment No. 1. No one appeared.
