COMPLETE DESCRIPTION OF COUNCIL ACTIVITIES
AUGUST 1, 2011
Iowa City City Council special meeting 5:30 p.m., at City Hall. Mayor Hayek
presiding. Council Members present: Bailey, Champion, Dickens, Hayek, Mims,
Wilburn, Wright. Absent: None. Staff members present: Markus, Helling, Dilkes, Karr.
All actions were affirmative and unanimous.
Moved by Wright, seconded by Mims, to adjourn to executive session to discuss
strategy with counsel in matters that are presently in litigation or where litigation is
imminent where its disclosure would be likely to prejudice or disadvantage the position
of the governmental body in that litigation. Council adjourned into executive session
5:32 p.m.
Council returned to open session 5:35 p.m.
Moved by Wright, seconded by Wilburn, to adjourn special meeting 5:35 p.m.
