4- and 5- bedroom units
• 77% of all bedrooms built in the Central Planning District
and CBD since 1995 are in 4- and 5- bedroom
apartments (this includes all Moen's projects - Plaza
Towers,Vogel Building, Whiteway)
• 4- and 5- bedroom apartments were the norm in the
Central Business District zones until the Council lowered
the allowance to 3 unrelated persons per unit in 2008.
• Note: This
change in the
Central
Business District has
not slowed
development
in these
zones.
Pace of Development
• The projected increase in undergraduate
enrollment through Fall 2021 is 1,239
students — approximately 137 additional
students per year.
• Student housing projects currently under
construction: 92 dwelling units; 252
bedrooms (210 bedrooms in the Central
Business Zones where maximum
unrelated is already 3 persons per unit).
