We are writing to thank you for meeting with our class on January 2fa. We had
researched citizen review boards, but nothing compares to meeting with real people who
currently have a citizen review board. Leah Cohen and Police ChiefWinkelhake
answered our questions and helped us leam how Iowa City is Working to improve police-
citizen relations. We also want to thank John Watson for arranging the meeting.

The Police Citizens Review Board invites you or your representative to give a
presentation to the Board on the ICPD's Goals & Objections for 2001 at its
meeting on Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at 7:00 P.M. in the Lobby Conference
Room.
Following your presentation, the Board invites you to remain for Professor
David Baldus' discussion regarding the data collection on traffic stops. The
Board also wishes to invite Sgt. Sid Jackson to attend this meeting.
