March & April Use of Force Review
The bi-monthly "Use of Force Review Committee met on May 23, 2002. It was
composed of the following personnel;
Captain Widmer
Sgt. Brotherton
Sgt. Hurd
The review of the submitted reports for March (13 incidents-21 reports) and April (11
incidents-14 reports) revealed no policy or training concerns. It is e~idence of a
department doing good things when 12,161 calls for service (tota~or March-April) result
in only 24 of those calls for service requiring force. This low number of incidents coupled
with the quality of the documentation again warrants notice to all officers of a job well
done.
