RE: Use of Force Review
DATE: July 29, 2003
The "Use of Force Review Committee met on July 24, 2003. It was composed of
the following personnel:
Captain Johnson
Sgt. Krei
Sgt. Hurd
The review of the submitted reports for May (12 incidents- 20 reports) and June
(21 incidents- 44 reports) was completed.
Part of the evaluation process by the committee includes recommendations for
reduction or elimination of errors on the reports. The committee for the review of
July 24 identified few errors. Of those identified, the recommendations for
correction were consistent.
Supervisory staff need to inspect the reports more thoroughly to make certain
that all boxes and fields which are required are filled in by the reporting officer(s).
