ITEM NO.2 CONSIDER A RESOLUTION APPROVING A TRACK CONSTRUCTION
AGREEMENT WITH IOWA INTERSTATE RAILROAD FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF TRACK SIDING TO SERVE THE IOWA CITY
INDUSTRIAL CAMPUS.
Comment: This resolution approves a Track Construction Agreement with
Iowa Interstate Railroad so as to allow construction of track siding to serve
future Iowa City Industrial Campus industries. Expedited action is
required to secure the work of the Iowa Interstate surfacing gang before
they move out of the area at the end of this week. The surfacing gang is
not scheduled to be back in the area until November, 2012.
