RESOLUTION NO. 12 -365
RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR AUGUST 21, 2012
TO APPROVE A PURCHASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
IOWA CITY AND AUTOHAUS LTD FOR LOTS 14 AND 15 WITH AN
OPTION ON LOT 13 OF THE NORTH AIRPORT DEVELOPMENT
SUBDIVISION AND TO CONSIDER A PROPOSAL TO CONVEY SAID
PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the North Airport Development Subdivision includes commercial lots which have been
marketed for sale to the general public;
WHEREAS, the City has negotiated a purchase agreement with Autohaus LTD to sell Lots 14 and 15 for
$336,936 with an option to sell Lot 13 for $166,617, which requires City Council approval; and
WHEREAS, Council should hold a public hearing on the proposed conveyance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IOWA
CITY, IOWA, THAT:
1. The City Council does hereby declare its intent to approve the purchase agreement
between the City of Iowa City and Autohaus LTD for the above - referenced property and to
convey said property in accordance with said agreement.
2. A public hearing on said proposed agreement should be and is hereby set for August 21,
2012 at 7:00 p.m. in Emma J. Harvat Hall of City Hall, 410 E. Washington Street, Iowa
City, Iowa or if said meeting is cancelled, at the next meeting of the City Council thereafter
as posted by the City Clerk. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause notice of public
hearing to be published as provided by law.
