ITEM NO. 2 CONSIDER A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAILING AND
PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF INTENT TO COMMENCE PUBLIC
/3 l IMPROVEMENT PROJECT TO CONSTRUCT THE MOSS RIDGE ROAD
PROJECT AND TO ACQUIRE PROPERTY FOR THE PROJECT; AND
SETTING DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON FEBRUARY 5, 2013.
Comment: The City of Iowa City must acquire right -of -way, fee title,
permanent easements and /or temporary construction easement to
construct the Moss Ridge Road Project. This project includes the
construction of Moss Ridge Road from N. Dodge Street/Highway 1 to the
proposed Moss Ridge Campus @ Rapid Creek Preserve. The project will
include roadway, N. Dodge /Highway 1 improvements, sidewalk, sanitary
sewer, water main, traffic signals, storm water system, and storm water
detention facilities. The project will be funded with General Obligation
bond proceeds and a Rise Grant.
