Good morning Ms. Hightshoe and Mr. Long,
I would like to apologize for missing the HCDC meeting yesterday evening. I have recently accepted a promotion with
the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinic as the Director of the Centralized Management of Scheduling Program. This
new position has taken considerable time from my other commitments and as I assume the workload will continue to
increase, I feel compelled to resign from my HCDC position effective immediately. I understand that this is less than
ideal, but as a new father and leader in my newly appointed position, I want to do what is best for me personally and
professionally. I also want to do what is best for the City of Iowa City and the people /agencies served by the
commission. I appreciate the opportunity to work with you and the commission over the last several years and hope
that you continue to impact the community in a positive manner for years to come.
