The tour will be held Wednesday, October 9. If you would like to join us, we will meet on the upper level of the Robert A. Lee Community Recreation Center at 4:00 p.m. We anticipate returning to the facility at approximately 7:30 p.m. Beverages and box lunches will be provided on the bus. Please let us know whether or not you will be joining us by sending me an email at tammy- neumann(,iowa- city.org or by calling 356- 5210 by Monday, October 7. Please let us know if there are any special food requests. M IP7 Kennedy Center Program Any Given Child Coming to ICCSD Invitation to Press Conference For Immediate Release C(OP Contact: Kate Moreland, 319 - 688 -1000 Kennedy Center Program Any Given Child Coming to the Iowa City Community School District Who: The Iowa City Community School District in conjunction with the City of Iowa City, Hancher, the Kennedy Center, and a Community Arts Team What: Are announcing the partnership for Any Given Child, a program that creates a long -range arts education plan for students in grades K -8. The event will announce what it will mean for the Iowa City Community School District and how the community can become involved. When: Tuesday, October 8th at 11 am Why: Any Given Child seeks to bring access, balance, and equity to each child's arts education, using an affordable model that combines the resources of the school districts, local arts groups, and the Kennedy Center. Where: ICCSD Educational Services Center 1725 North Dodge Street Interviews and photo opportunities: Superintendent Steve Murley, Mayor Matt Hayek, Executive Director of Hancher Chuck Swanson, and Barbara Shepherd, Kennedy Center Director of National Partnerships will be available for interviews and photo opportunities. Members of the Community Arts Team will also be available for interviews.
