SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING ON MAY 6, 2014 ON PLANS,
SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT, AND ESTIMATE OF COST
FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE ANIMAL CARE AND ADOPTION
CENTER 2014 PROJECT, DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH
NOTICE OF SAID HEARING, AND DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER
/ LI — j /C) TO PLACE SAID PLANS ON FILE FOR PUBLIC INSPECTION.
Comment: The Project will involve the construction of a new freestanding
Animal Care and Adoption facility at 3910 Napoleon Lane. The new
building will have 9,180 SF of finished space consisting of animal holding,
animal support, and office space. The building will be wood frame and
mason construction. The work includes site work, general building
construction, mechanical, electrical, communication, along with security
and specialty systems. The estimated cost of construction for the project
is $2.83 million and will be funded from FEMA, State, GO Bonds, other
local governments and Foundation contributions

2014 STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENTS - RESOLUTION SETTING A
PUBLIC HEARING ON MAY 6, 2014 ON PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS,
FORM OF CONTRACT, AND ESTIMATE OF COST FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF THE 2014 STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT, DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SAID
HEARING, AND DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO PLACE SAID
PLANS ON FILE FOR PUBLIC INSPECTION.
Comment: This project consists of repairing or improving the storm sewer
system at various locations throughout Iowa City. The estimated
construction cost is $200,000 and will be funded with storm sewer
revenues.
