Publish 12/22 NOTICE OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF IOWA CITY, STATE OF IOWA, ON THE MATTER OF THE PROPOSED AUTHORIZATION OF A MUNICIPAL PARKING SYSTEM REVENUE LEASE PURCHASE AGREEMENT IN THE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF NOT TO EXCEED $16,000,000, FOR THE LEASE PURCHASE ACQUISITION OF THE HARRISON STREET PARKING FACILITY, AND THE PUBLIC HEARING ON THE AUTHORIZATION THEREOF PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Iowa City, State of Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the 6th day of January, 2015, at 7:00 o'clock P.M., in the Emma J. Harvat Hall, City Hall, 410 E. Washington, Iowa City, Iowa, at which meeting the Council proposes to take additional action for the authorization of a Municipal Parking System Revenue Lease Purchase agreement in the principal amount of not to exceed $16,000,000, the proceeds of which will be used for the lease purchase acquisition of the Harrison Street Parking Facility. At the above meeting the Council shall receive oral or written objections from any resident or property owner of the City, to the above action. After all objections have been received and considered, the Council will at this meeting or at any adjournment thereof, take additional action for the authorization of the Municipal Parking System Revenue Lease Purchase agreement or will abandon the proposal. The Municipal Parking System Revenue Lease Purchase Agreement will not constitute general obligations or be payable in any manner by taxation, but will be payable solely and only out of the net earnings of the Municipal Parking Enterprise. This notice is given by order of the City Council of the City of Iowa City, State of Iowa, as provided by Section 364.4(f) of the Code of Iowa, as amended.
