QUESTIONS FROM COUNCIL REGARDING AGENDA ITEMS 1. (Consent Calendar items # 3f(10) — Traffic Engineering Planner ... metered parking spaces ... Bloomington Street ... ) City Clerk Karr reported that staff has requested this item be removed from the Consent Calendar and deferred indefinitely; noting the item would be back to Council at a later time. 2. (Consent Calendar item 3d(2) — Senior Center Fire Alarm ... ) In response to Council Member Payne, Architectural Services Coordinator Morris reported the bid was the actual cost for the project. 3. (Consent Calendar items # 3f(4) — Johnson County Board of Supervisors ... Minimum Wage Ordinance for Johnson County) Mayor Hayek stated the item could be scheduled for an upcoming work session but suggested an opinion form the City Attorney's office on their assessment of the likelihood that the County ordinance would be upheld if challenged. After discussion, a majority agreed to request an opinion from the City Attorney that would also contain information on exceptions. REVIEW RECOMMENDATIONS FROM THE AD-HOC RIVERFRONT CROSSINGS INCLUSIONARY HOUSING WORK COMMITTEE [IP # 3 Info Packet of 8/27 info packet] NDS Dir. Boothroy presented a power point and reviewed the recommendations contained in the August 27 memo. Neighborhood Services Coordinator Hightshoe present for discussion. STAFF ACTION: Proceed as outlined and prepare ordinance for Council consideration. (Boothroy) STAFF FOLLOW-UP PRESENTATION ON REGULATIONS IMPACTING LOT AND HOUSING UNIT SIZES [IP # 4 Info Packet of 8/27 info packet] Development Services Coordinator Yapp and Associate Planner Howard presented a power point and reviewed the recommendations contained in the August 27 memo. After discussion, Council expressed an interest in proceeding with recommendations # 1 and # 2. STAFF ACTION: Proceed as outlined with Code changes. Dilkes referenced the invitation to a discussion on September 30 and a talk on October 4, and stated there were no open meetings issues with the talk on October 4 but the discussion should not be attended by a quorum of Council.
