Mayor Hayek stated Council Member Botchway was unable to attend the meeting. QUESTIONS FROM COUNCIL REGARDING AGENDA ITEMS 1. (Agenda Item 14b — ...Fees for Police Department Services ...) — City Atty. Dilkes noted the revised clarifying language, and stated the change was non substantive. 2. (Consent Calendar Item 5d(6) — Kemp Addition) — City Clerk Karr asked that the item be deleted from the Consent Calendar and staff would place back on a future agenda. 3. (Agenda Item 12 — ... Snow Emergency Parking Violation ... ) — Transportation and Resource Management Assoc. Dir. Rummel present for discussion. COUNCIL APPOINTMENTS (Agenda Item # 141 • Airport Commission — Julie Bockenstedt REVIEW UNIVERSITY OF IOWA ENROLLMENT AND HOUSING PROJECTIONS Interim Senior Vice President Rod Lehnertz provided information on current enrollment, updates related to on -campus housing and infrastructure projects. After discussion, it was agreed that the University would provide additional information on minority percentages breakdowns (international students; US minorities, etc.). INFORMATION PACKET DISCUSSION (October 8,151 Oct. 8 (IP4 — Distinguished Budget Presentation Award) Individual Council Members Finance Director Bockenstedt and City staff for receiving the award for the fourth consecutive year. 2. (IP3 - Fall Employee Luncheon) Mayor Pro tem Mims noted the invitation to the staff luncheon in the packet. Council Work Session October 20, 2015 Page 2 October 15 1. (IP 4 — KXIC) Council Members agreed to the following schedule: Wednesday October 28 — Mims November 4 — Throgmorton November 11 (pre-recorded 10am 11/10) — Payne November 18 — Dickens November 25 — Hayek December 2 — Mims December 9 — December 16 — December 23 — December 30 - In addition we are adding a 7:15 — 7:45 AM the first and third Friday of each month: Friday October 2 — Dobyns October 16 — Dobyns November 6 — Dobyns November 20 — December 4 — Dobyns December 18 — 2. COUNCIL TIME / MEETING SCHEDULE 1. Council Member Throgmorton reminded everyone of the Human Rights Breakfast scheduled for October 28tH 2. Council Member Throgmorton noted a City of Literature Board meeting scheduled for October 27tH PENDING WORK SESSION TOPICS fP # 3 Info Packet of 10/151 None UPCOMING COMMUNITY EVENTS / COUNCIL INVITATIONS Mayor Hayek noted a reception currently underway in the Helling Conference Room hosted by DVIP recognizing recipients of the Hopeline Champion Award being presented at the formal meeting; and encouraged Council Members to stop by.
