COMPLETE DESCRIPTION OF COUNCIL ACTIVITIES
OCTOBER 20, 2015
Iowa City City Council special meeting, 5:00 p.m. at City Hall. Mayor Hayek
presiding. Council Members present: Dickens, Dobyns, Hayek, Mims, Payne,
Throgmorton. Absent: Botchway. Staff members present: Markus, Fruin, Dilkes, Karr,
Hennes, Yapp, Boothroy, Ream, Dulek.
Mayor Hayek announced that Council Member Botchway was unable to attend
the Council that evening.
Unless otherwise noted, all actions were affirmative and unanimous.
Moved by Dickens, seconded by Dobyns, to adjourn to executive session to
discuss the purchase of particular real estate only where premature disclosure could be
reasonably expected to increase the price the governmental body would have to pay for
that property. The minutes and the tape recording of a session closed under this
paragraph (Land Acquisition) shall be available for public examination when the
transaction discussed is completed. The Mayor declared the motion carried and
adjourned into executive session 5:02 p.m.
Council returned to open session 5:21 p.m.
Moved by Payne, seconded by Dobyns, to adjourn special meeting 5: 22 p.m.
