BUDGET OVERVIEW AND HIGHLIGHTS City Manager Markus facilitated discussion, reviewed the timeline for budget approval, and distributed a handout of the power point presentation. Other handouts included: • Email from Council Member Cole to Johnson County Local Foods Coordinator with attached letter of support • Email from Council Member Cole with attached letter to City Manager regarding ICPL Budget Proposal [Staff response attached] • Letter from Library Board of Trustees regarding FY17 Library Budget Proposal for Bookmobile Service • Recommendations Involving the Senior Center Fee Structure and Cost Recovery Goal for the Operational Budget Finance Dir. Bockenstedt and Asst. to the City Manager Fruin present for discussion. Department budgets were presented as outlined on the agenda (IP2 of 1/7 Info Packet); and page number in parenthesis refers to pages in the Proposed Financial Plan (12/17/15 Info Packet). Power points of organization charts for the City departments were shown and archived. In response to questions, he also noted a series of changes made after the City election and included at the end of his power point presentation earlier in the day. Meeting adjourned 4:35 PM
