Harvat Hall in City Hall in said City, or if said meeting is cancelled, at the next meeting of the City Council thereafter as posted by the City Clerk. Said plans, specifications, form of contract and estimated cost are now on file in the office of the City Clerk in City Hall in Iowa City, Iowa, and may be inspected by any interested persons. Any interested persons may appear at said meeting of the City Council for the purpose of making objections to and comments concerning said plans, specifications, contract or the cost of making said improvement. I will be unable to speak at the public hearing, so I wish to express my support now. Exciting things are happening on the City's southeast side! These include the recent street improvements on Lower Muscatine and First Avenue, the resurgence of Iowa City Marketplace, the new Alexander School, the extension of Sycamore Street south to the school, and the addition of a roundabout in anticipation of the further development of McCollister Blvd. The Grant Wood and Wetherby Park Neighborhood Association, District residents, local businesses, developers and landowners are in the final stages of developing a new logo and branding program for the South District. We have employed Robin Hepker of Benson and Hepker to assist us with developing a new logo and branding guidelines for use throughout the South District. We look forward to sharing the final products with the Council sometime soon!
