COMPLETE DESCRIPTION OF COUNCIL ACTIVITIES
MAY 3, 2016
Iowa City City Council special meeting, 5:00 p.m. at City Hall. Mayor Throgmorton
presiding. Council Members present: Botchway, Cole, Dickens, Mims (Electronically),
Taylor, Thomas, Throgmorton. Absent: None. Staff members present: Fruin, Dilkes,
Andrew, Karr.
Unless otherwise noted, all actions were affirmative and unanimous.
Moved by Cole, seconded by Dickens, to adjourn to executive session to discuss
strategy with counsel in matters that are presently in litigation or where litigation is
imminent where its disclosure would be likely to prejudice or disadvantage the position
of the governmental body in that litigation. The Mayor declared the motion carried and
adjourned into executive session 5:01 p.m.
Council returned to open session 5:40 p.m.
