HomeMy WebLinkAbout2016-06-06 ProclamationCity of Iowa City PROCLAMATION WHEREAS, IC COMPASSION is a non-profit that has spent ten years dedicated to the mission of engaging culturally diverse communities through hope, opportunities, and partnerships; equipping people to move out of poverty and to be of service to others; and WHEREAS, this is done through several outreach programs such as, the Food Pantry, Immigration Resource Center, ESL Classes, and the free Wednesday Night Community Meal and WHEREAS, the truly inspiring hallmark of this organization is not just in the numbers of lives changed and made better through the programs, but the transformation of the recipients of these services who are now leaders and giving back to their community and continuing the work of the organization; and WHEREAS, this is a wonderful time to celebrated the vital work of IC COMPASSION and the achievements of the myriad of Iowa City residents who volunteer there NOW, THEREFORE, I, James A. Now Therefore, I, James A.
